Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
Your 3 days Marrakech to Fes desert tour starts at 8:00 AM with pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. We stop at a panoramic viewpoint where you can enjoy amazing mountain views and take photos of the winding roads. After about 1.5 hours, we arrive at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have free time to walk through the old kasbah and explore its traditional mud-brick buildings. Next, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” We stop to visit one of the famous film studios, where many international movies were filmed. In the afternoon, we drive through Kalaa M’gouna and the Valley of Roses. We also visit the unique rock formations in Dades Gorges, often called the “Monkey Fingers.” Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Dades Gorges.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert – Camel Ride – Desert Camp
After breakfast, we continue our journey toward the Sahara Desert. Our first stop is Todra Gorges, a beautiful canyon with high limestone cliffs. It is a great place for walking and taking pictures. After lunch, we drive through small Berber villages and desert landscapes until we arrive in Merzouga. Here, you will start your camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. At the desert camp, you will enjoy traditional mint tea before watching the sunset over the dunes. After dinner, there will be live Berber music around the campfire. You can also walk into the dunes to see the stars. Overnight stay in a desert camp in Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes
Wake up early to watch the sunrise in the Sahara Desert. After breakfast at the camp, we begin our journey to Fes. We pass through the beautiful Ziz Valley, known for its large palm groves and traditional villages. We continue through Midelt and Zaida, where we stop for lunch. Next, we drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop at the cedar forest near Azrou. Here, you may see wild Barbary monkeys. Before arriving in Fes, we visit Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its European-style buildings and clean streets. We arrive in Fes around 5:00 PM and drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of your 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes.
