Morocco’s Desert Experience Camp
Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges
Your 3 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour starts at 8:00 AM with pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the beautiful Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we stop for photos and enjoy views of small Berber villages. Next, we visit Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco. After exploring the old village, we continue to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” We then pass through Skoura Oasis and the Rose Valley, famous for its rose products. In the afternoon, we arrive at Dades Gorges, where you will see the unique rock formations called “Monkey Fingers.” Dinner and overnight stay in a riad in Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert – Camel Trekking – Desert Camp
After breakfast, we continue toward the Sahara Desert. We stop at Todra Gorges, a beautiful canyon with high rock walls reaching up to 300 meters. You will have free time to walk near the river and take pictures. After lunch, we drive to Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will start your camel trekking adventure across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. When you arrive at the desert camp, you will enjoy a welcome tea. Climb the dunes to watch the sunset over the Sahara. After dinner, enjoy traditional Berber music around the campfire. You can also walk into the dunes to see the stars. Overnight stay in a desert camp in Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Wake up early to watch the sunrise in the Sahara Desert. This is one of the best moments of the tour. After breakfast at the camp, we drive back to Marrakech. We pass through Alnif and Nkob and follow the beautiful Draa Valley, known for its long palm groves. We stop for lunch on the way and then cross the Atlas Mountains again before arriving in Marrakech in the evening. Drop-off at your accommodation.
